Two eyes in a cage
gaze onto the world
and they wonder
who is trapped in this case
These eyes pry a little crossed
into drabby souls
and they ask
who is the stranger nowadays
These eyes in a rage
gape into the dreadful heart
and they ponder
why they're treated abysmally
Two eyes now blind-folded
look the other way
and they mask
a distaste of reality
Cut out these eyes!
no longer they wish to see
to feel
nor they wish to wonder
or ponder
they no longer want to ask
and mask
'Cos we have two faces
one
lost in translation
another
lost in decadency
but both
lost in the eyes of the beholder
