Dark Magic

 An angel at night
touched me for the first time
Thunder struck
 the core of my soul
didn't burn me
left a warm, scented feeling
unknown to me
but oh so real

Fluttering through the day
impossible to perceive
it felt so pure
it felt so happy

Too fast,
too much,
 too unclear
too many mistakes,
too insecure

Straight
to the last page of the book
without enjoying the voyage
Lightning struck
a silent witness
me, on my knees
once so strong
now empty, vulnerable

Crawling through the day
impossible to relieve
it felt so powerful
it felt so white

A feeling so right
forever in pictures framed
your look
your dimple when you smiled
your smile divine
the color of your voice
forever a memory
the door wide open
impossible to close

the whole world is there
where we used to be
