A Collection of Poetry

A little patience

I looked at the sun
when you formed the stars
You shaped the clouds
when I caught the moon

We sat at both ends of the rainbow...

waiting

You were the soul
and I was your mate
We were always both right
in every debate

We sat at both ends of the circle...

waiting

I was afraid to get lost
You were afraid to be found
We had no faith
in what was common ground

Each on our side of the coin...

still waiting

But if I would've left
You would've asked why
And if you hadn't stayed
I would have cried

And even if it isn't anytime soon
I know I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Until then I'll be
waiting
